Befriend A Tree Event

We warmly invite everyone who has already Befriended a Tree at Soul Sanctuary to join us for a special gathering in the woodland the day before Mother’s Day.

This event is a meaningful opportunity to visit the forest, spend time among the trees, and mark your connection with the tree you have chosen to befriend.

During the gathering, we will walk together through the Soul Sanctuary woodland. You will be invited to find the tree you feel drawn to and place a beautiful yellow or gold ribbon on its branches — a symbolic gesture of your friendship with the tree and your commitment to caring for the natural world.

This moment in the forest is about connection, reflection, and community. It is also a chance to meet others who share a love for nature and the woodland at Soul Sanctuary.

What to expect

• A walk through the Soul Sanctuary woodland
• Choosing and visiting your befriended tree
• Placing a symbolic ribbon on its branches
• Time to connect with nature and others in the community
• Light refreshments afterwards

Yellow and gold ribbons will be provided.

Important information

Please dress for the weather and wear warm waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear, as the woodland may be muddy or wet.
